Match Against Thorpe Wood Wednesday 29 th  August Away
Simon’s Comments   Our run has come to an end - but only just with a narrow defeat and several close results. Good effort from everyone away from home on a tricky course.

Thursday 30 th  August 2018 Have a thought for Charles Nevitte. Having played the full length of the 1 st  hole, he discovered he hadn’t changed into his golf shoes. Charles took the unenviable decision to walk/trot/run back to the Locker Room to change his footwear…and of course al the way back again. Suspect he was a little short of breath on the 2 nd  tee! Against the background of a very pleasant day on the course, 31 seniors turned up for the traditional 2 from 3 competition. Senior Captain, Simon, advised the gathering that in the coming weeks the Thursday Roll up start times will vary a little due to other commitments on the course. Amended times are now shown on the WEB Site. Seniors are advised to check the website until these commitments have passed. Winners of todays 2 from 3 competition Ray Taylor, Andrew Counsell and Dave Wilson, with 82 points Best Front 9 score – Nigel Coombs with 21 points a.c.b. Best Back 9 score – Steve Markham with 25 points  Seniors Doubles match result Ted Leighton/Kenny Windsor beat Reg Parker/Stewart Hatch 3 & 2
